Is it safe to pay online?
The security of your private information is guaranteed on Trip.com by Verisign, a trusted international service provider.
We only allow credit card numbers to be transmitted to us over the Internet by browsers using Secure Sockets Layer encryption. When you enter your credit card number, SSL encodes the information and transmits in a format that prevents any form of data theft. Once received by our secure server, your credit card number is never transmitted over the Internet again.
SSL safe connection and secure transaction technology have effectively protected hundreds of thousands of Trip.com customers who have transmitted their credit card numbers online.
Trip.com's risk control system will guarantee your account and card security. When your payment behavior is detected to be abnormal, security verification or 3D security payment will be provided to prevent your credit card from unauthorized use.
What can I do if encounter a problem while making an online payment?
Payments might fail for a variety of reasons. Some common situations when paying Online Payment include:
- Your card does not allow online payments. Please contact your bank or choose another payment option.
- The transaction amount exceeds your card limit for online payments. Please call your bank to adjust your limit.
- Incorrect card information was provided. Please confirm the information and try again.

What should I pay attention to when using the debit card issued in mainland China?
When you use the debit card issued in mainland China for payment, you need to provide the mobile phone number which is reserved at the bank counter. If you need to verify your ID and ID number, the ID and ID number need to be the one that you used for transacting the debit card.
How long does it take to refund?
When you submit a refund request, please refer to the following situations, we will process your order as soon as possible and submit a refund to your bank. If the order is fully refunded, Trip.com will not charge you any additional fees. After the refund process is completed, the refund status of your Trip.com account will be shown as Refunded, the refund arrival time depends on your issuing bank. Your card provider can explain the general terms and conditions of such procedures in more details. These terms are different and it will be better for you to contact them for details.
